It’s very helpful to see companies beginning to market to dieters.
As everyone knows, fat is one of the primary ingredients, in ANY
diet, that needs to be considered for reduction in order to lose
weight. However, many of those foods and beverages you
want to purchase that have "low fat" or "99% fat free" or
similar, have a “hidden” baddie to compensate the fat deletion.
Check
the nutrition tables on the back of packets of food you want to
purchase - you'll notice many products have more sugar added to
make the food or drink taste great and because of the lower in
fat claim, you're left not feeling guilty about eating
something "naughty".
So, when it comes
to shopping for many things including frozen ready-meals, canned
fish, biscuits, milk (esp. skim milk) etc, consider how much
sugar is included - not just how lean its fat content
is. Sugar is just as important to reduce as fat when trying to
lose weight.
