Lamb is always a welcomed
meat on any table. Like all red meats, lamb carries with it
some saturated fat around the meaty areas.
It's important to cut off
this extra fat before cooking as the colors change and it almost
camouflages with the meat and is accidentally eaten with the meat,
adding to the fat intake of your daily diet.
Mint is the ultimate compliment to any lean lamb dish you're
making, provided you aren't serving other dominant herbs with the
dish. Wherever possible, try using fresh or minced mint
rather than the processed jellies because these can be high in
sugar and fat and that's something you'd want to avoid if looking
to lose weight or maintain a healthy eating habit.
